The Met Service has released a detailed weather outlook for the remainder of this week.

• Wednesday: Mostly fair, sunny, hazy, and at times breezy conditions. Conditions can be windy at times, especially in elevated areas. There is a chance for a late-morning afternoon shower in a few areas. Winds generally from the east to east-northeast.
• Thursday: Generally fair, sunny and hazy conditions, interrupted at times by partly cloudy periods with a light or moderate shower over a few areas. There is a low chance (20%) for a heavy shower or thunderstorm, mainly during the late morning to afternoon. Winds can become breezy to windy at times during the afternoon and evening, mostly in elevated areas. Winds generally from the east.
• Friday: Fair and hazy conditions. Some low-level convergence can produce partly cloudy to cloudy periods, with light to moderate showers over varying areas and a low to medium chance (20%-40%) for a heavy shower or thunderstorm, mainly during the late morning to early afternoon. The axis of a low-level trough is expected to pass during the evening to night. Winds can become breezy to windy at times during the afternoon and evening, mostly in elevated areas. Winds generally from the east to east-northeast turning to southeast during the night.
• Saturday: After the passage of the axis of a low level trough on Friday night, the following low-level convergence, in association with the ITCZ, is likely to produce partly cloudy to cloudy conditions, with light to moderate showers over varying areas. There is a medium to high chance (50%-70%) for thunderstorm development. Winds initially from the southeast to east-southeast during the morning and mostly easterly from afternoon.
• Sunday: Low-level convergence associated with the ITCZ is likely to produce partly cloudy to cloudy periods, with light to moderate showers over varying areas. There is a medium chance (40%-60%) for a heavy shower or thunderstorm to develop over some areas. Winds generally from the east.

In the event of heavy showers or thunderstorms, street or flash flooding is likely, and winds can become gusty in the vicinity.
