West Indies all-rounder Yannic Cariah has undergone a surgical procedure to repair a fracture to his nose.

Cariah was struck in the face during a training session last Saturday while preparing for the Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament in Zimbabwe.

Cricket West Indies says the procedure was performed in Harare on Thursday evening.

Cariah will remain with the squad under the care of the CWI Medical Team, with a decision to be made in the coming days on a possible return to action.

Assistant Coach, Floyd Reifer has also undergone a similar procedure after being struck in the face during a training session on Wednesday.

CWI says Reifer will continue his coaching duties under the supervision of the CWI Medical Team.
