179 athletes will represent T&T at the 24th Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games.

These athletes will compete in 21 sporting disciplines, including athletics, swimming, cycling, chess, archery and boxing.

Top athletes on the roster include Jereem Richards, Nicholas Paul, Keshorn Walcott and Dylan Carter, who are expected to be among the medal contenders for Team TTO.

According to TT Olympic Committee President, Diane Henderson, the CAC Games are important for some, since success in certain sports will qualify athletes in those disciplines for the upcoming PanAm Games in Chile.

The CAC Games are scheduled to take place from June 23rd to July 8th in El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.
